| Thank you for visiting the Owens/Kennemore Detachment website. Our detachment is named in honor of two native Greenville, SC, Marines that exemplified the ideals and principles of the United States Marine Corps in both word and deed. Both men were awarded this Nations highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor. Our detachment was chartered on 17 AUG 02, with a total of thirty charter members. We meet at 1830 on the first Thursday of every month at St. James Episcopal Church Parrish Life Center at 301 Piney Mountain Rd, Greenville, South Carolina. | All area Marines are invited to join our Detachment. We also invite FMF Navy Corpsmen as full members and any other United States Armed Forces members and veterans as Associate Members. Requirements for membership are 90 consequtive days of Honorable Service and a copy of your DD214 or other documentation of service.
